Kemeling Kunststoffen develops, produces and supplies a fixed assortment of certified HortiTanks (1 to 30 m3) for liquid fertilizer to installers in the horticultural sector. When used indoors, a HortiTank has a design life of no less than 20 years and can be recycled afterwards.
The HortiTank A is suitable for all standard fertilisers, excluding iron chelate 6%, nitric acid and nitric acid. Would you like to store any of these fertilizers? Click here to go to HortiTanks for corrosive fertilisers.
HortiQ (NL): The HortiQ certificate is specifically aimed at greenhouse farming, and is a guarantee that clear procedures and criteria have been laid down and are being observed. The HortiTank is HortiQ (ISSO 87) certified as standard. You can find its requirements on the certification page.
Vlarem II (BE): You can also choose to have the HortiTank produced in accordance with the Vlarem II certification. Vlarem stands for 'Flemish Regulations on Environmental Permitting', and these guidelines apply in both the Belgian horticultural sector and industry. You can find these guidelines on Kemeling's detailed certification page.
BRL-K21009 (PGS 31): Kemeling has been certified by KIWA for industrial applications. This guideline concerns the storage of chemicals in above ground pressureless, welded, single-walled thermoplastic tanks. You can find the guidelines of this certificate on Kemeling's certification page. This certificate does not apply to horticulture. HortiQ (NL) or Vlarem II (BE) is the right alternative for this.
We produce the HortiTank ® including:
Structural calculation, material certificate, resistance check, environmental analysis, and certified welds.
Mechanical level indicator, inspection lid, two lifting eyes, identification plate and test strip system (only when nitric acid).
Complete technical digital file (on request).
As an option, we can provide the tank with a mechanical level indicator, flange connections (obligatory at Vlarem II, not obligatory at HortiQ) and/or threaded lugs for filling, venting, suction and overflow.
According to current laws and regulations, HortiTanks must be placed in a collection container. We have a suitable collection container for each HortiTank in our assortment, which you can view here.
