A customised technical plastic drip box, sump box or environmental box? That is possible! We produce liquid-tight drip trays in various sizes from the materials HDPE-100 black, natural (white) or PP beige. Within the current laws and regulations, we can provide you with three types, which we assemble according to your specifications.
Option 1: An uncertified drip, sump or environmental box
With or without a certificate, a storage facility must always be able to collect its total amount of liquid. To ensure this requirement, the storage capacity must be able to collect at least 110% of the contents of the largest packaging or 10% of the contents of the total packaging, whichever is greater.
Suppose you have one 150 liter barrel, five 75 liter barrels and four 50 liter barrels. A combined quantity of 725 liters.
· 110% of the contents of the largest packaging = 110% x 150 liters= 165 liters.
· 10% of the contents of all stored substances = 10% x 725 liters= 72.5 liters
Because the greatest value counts, the drip box must have a collection capacity of 165 liters.
Option 2: A certified drip, sump or environmental box according to AS SIKB 6700
When an AS 6700 declaration for liquid-tight devices is issued by the inspection, you can choose this model. The contents of a liquid-tight containment facility must then be at least equal to the storage capacity of the tank. If several tanks are installed in a collection tank, the collection capacity shall be at least equal to the storage capacity of the largest tank, increased by 10% of the combined storage capacity.
Option 3: A certified drip, sump or environmental box in accordance with BRL-K903 and BRL-K21009.
If the collection facility has to comply with storage for chemicals, we can offer you a single-walled technical plastic drip box according to the BRL-K21009. These drip boxes must be designed with a minimum storage capacity of 110% of the maximum capacity of the storage tank.
A GRP grid can be installed at the same height as the top of the collection container. A GRP grid is a grid mounted on top of the drip box on which you can place your cans and barrels up to a weight of 1000 kg per m2, giving you more collection capacity available. In the case of a drip box without a GRP grid, the barrels or cans are placed in the drip tray, so that any space can be lost.
