According to today's laws and regulations, HortiTanks must be placed in a collection container. We have included a suitable collection container in the product assortment for each HortiTank, creating a tank-in-tank solution. The collection containers are available in three designs to match the three types of HortiTanks. Like the HortiTanks, the collection containers have a design life of 20 years when used indoors, after which they can be recycled.
HortiQ (NL): The HortiQ certificate is specifically aimed at greenhouse farming, and is a guarantee that clear procedures and criteria have been laid down and are being observed. The HortiTank is HortiQ (ISSO 87) certified as standard. You can find its requirements on the certification page.
Vlarem II (BE): You can also choose to have the HortiTank produced in accordance with the Vlarem II certification. Vlarem stands for 'Flemish Regulations on Environmental Permitting', and these guidelines apply in both the Belgian horticultural sector and industry. You can find these guidelines on Kemeling's detailed certification page.
BRL-K21009 (PGS 31): Kemeling has been certified by KIWA for industrial applications. This guideline concerns the storage of chemicals in above ground pressureless, welded, single-walled thermoplastic tanks. You can find the guidelines of this certificate on Kemeling's certification page. This certificate does not apply to horticulture. HortiQ (NL) or Vlarem II (BE) is the right alternative for this.
We produce the collection container of the HortiTank ® including:
Structural calculation, material certificate, resistance check, environmental analysis, and certified welds.
Inspection lid, two lifting eyes, identification plate and test strip system (only when nitric acid).
