A BRL-K903 installation with BRL-K21009 technical plastic chemical storage tanks?
Since 2013 Kemeling is officially certified to design and produce technical plastic chemicals tanks with a KIWA BRL-K21009 certificate. The BRL-K21009 covers stationary, pressureless, welded, single-walled or double-walled thermoplastic technical plastic tanks that are used for the above-ground storage of chemicals. This directive contains requirements for both the storage tank and the collection tank.
What are the different applications for single-walled and double-walled tanks?
All companies that fall under the Activities Decree (BARIM) and store chemicals are legally obliged to have the storage installation installed by an installer certified in accordance with BRL-K903. Thanks to our excellent internal work processes, trained employees, and well-equipped workshop, Kemeling is KIWA certified for the BRL-K21009. You can find the guidelines of this certificate on Kemeling's certification page.
A part of such an installation is a certified storage tank and possible collection tray according to the BRL-K21009, which we can design, produce and deliver for you. A storage tank with a sump around it is also called a double-walled tank (tank-in-tank solution). Like normal storage tanks, our sump trays have a design life of 20 years when used indoors, and can be recycled after that.
What are the possibilities with a technical plastic storage tank for chemicals?
The chemical tanks can be produced from 1 to 40 m3 and the material of the product is tailored to the application. Through cooperation with officially certified installers, suppliers and transporters, various projects have been realized to full satisfaction. Tanks for e.g. sulphuric acid, caustic soda, iron chloride, iron chloride sulphate, hydrogen chloride, sodium hypochlorite, calcium chloride, urea etc. are produced on a regular basis.
